About Us

Standing Stone Designs (SSD) is a small but growing company owned and operated by Ernest Black and tapping a pool of talented independent programmers and designers. Online since 1997, SSD has provided web design and webmastering for a number of clients.

Standing Stone Designs emphasizes design, functionality, and a dynamic web presence, and will work closely with your marketing team to develop the site which is right for you. Although we are a small company, we can bring strong resources to bear to assist you with your Web and other communication needs through our network of associates which include technical and proposal writers, programmers, photographers, and graphic artists. In addition to designing and developing your site, we offer Web hosting with an emphasis on bundling hosting with webmaster services, saving you the need and expense of hiring an in-house webmaster.

Our Digital Photography offerings include original digital photography; scanning and editing your photos; original stock photos converted to digital formats; and converting photos for use on the Web. Web Design and Development

The most important aspects of website development are planning, layout and design, development, and implementation. We will work with you to develop a clear focus for your Web site which complements your present marketing efforts. Your Web site will be clear, concise, and pleasing to visit. The look and feel of the site will reflect your needs, and the site features will support your business requirements. We can assist you with the following:

Managed Web Hosting

Standing Stone Designs offers several hosting options, one of which may be ideal for your needs.

• Simple hosting: you manage your site exclusively through ftp; we provide Internet connectivity, up to 10 email accounts, and server maintenance. Base fee: $25/month.
• Managed hosting: can't afford a webmaster but you lack the skills or time to manage your site yourself? We provide bundled "hosting plus" accounts with one to three or more hours of webmastering included.
• Hosting plus one hour webmaster services: $65/month
• Hosting plus two hours webmaster services: $100/month
• Hosting plus three hours webmaster services: $150/month
• Additional rates and packages may be negotiated.
• Webmaster services, including maintenance, design, and development, is available for an hourly rate or by the project. Contact us for details.

Writing and Desktop Publishing

Standing Stone offers a wide range of writing services, including technical writing, proposal drafting, journalism, web advertising copy, and more. Send us an inquiry at services@standingstonedesigns.com. We can create exciting brochures, sales literature, newsletters, and virtually any sort of print media for you. Coupled with our graphics and web publishing capabilities, we can provide a complete solution for your sales, corporate, and other literature needs, all at prices that make sense. We will produce finished product from your original materials, or create innovative materials from scratch for you. We have extensive experience in both corporate sales and nonprofit organization requirements.
